The Donauinselfest in Vienna from June 26th to June 28th

The city of Vienna and its partners organizes the Donauinselfest in Vienna from June 26th to June 28th. It is the biggest outdoor festival in the world, which is hosted on a regular basis and already takes place for the 32nd time this year. As every year, numerous national and international acts are waiting for an enthusiastic audience. Admission is free.

Worldclass Acts give it all on numerous stages

Each year, the idyllic Donauinsel (engl. danube island) is converted into a huge festival venue. Lots of Austrians connect amazing acts of the past with the Donauinselfest. Lots of Falco Fans are still overwhelmed by his amazing show in 1993. Also this year amazing performances are guaranteed. International stars, such as Anastacia (Wien Energie Stage), Milow (Festinsel), Ray garvey (Festinsel) or Thees Uhlmann (FM4/planet.tt stage) perform live on stage at the Donauinselfest. Furthermore, the Austrian Rapper also picks up the chance of performing in his hometown (FM4/planet.tt stage).

A great chance for Austrian musicians

The Donauinselfest gives many Austrian bands and musicians the chance to perform live in front of a huge crowd. That’s why local shooting stars, such as Dawa, who have reached the second place at Eurovision Song Contest Preselection, and 5/8eln in Ehr’n have already announced to perform at the Donauinselfest (both at the Ö1 Kulturzelt). More than 3 Million Spectators on one weekend

On average 3 million spectators come to the Donauinselfest throughout the weekend year by year. That converts the festival to the biggest of its kind in the world. According to the organization, 250.000 spectators are located on the festival venue on average at the same time.

You can easily reach the Donauinsel by Metro and get off the metro at U1 Vorgartenstraße or U6 Handelskai or Neue Donau in order to join the Donauinselfest.
