The expansion of our cozy Vienna Boutiquehotel makes us very proud. Our new building is not only the perfect addition to the existing, thoughtfully renovated period town house, but it maintains a zero-energy balance as well. It means that in the course of a year our Boutiquehotel creates the same amount of energy that we require to run it. For this, we only use renewable energy sources like 130m² solar and 93m² photovoltaic panels, ground water heat pump.
But that was not enough for us and we wanted that our guests are able to stay with us climate neutral. Our ecological footprint has been calculated with 163 tons per year. We will be able to compensate this amount in cooperation with the team of Zukunftswerk in the next 2 years.
PROJECT WIND POWER
Due to our interest in wind energy we have chosen a project in India. The certificates are extraordinary (Standard UN CER – United Nations Certified Emission Reductions). This climate protection project is located in the federal state of Rajasthan in the north west of India at the border to Pakistan. With 10 wind generators it’s rather a project of small-scale dimension. The energy which is produced is continously delivered to the public electricity network of Rajasthan and replaces the energy of CO2 intensive resources.
The project is combined with several social, ecological and socioeconomical advantages, the most important is the substitution of fossil energy resources.
