ImPulsTanz 2011

ImPulsTanz, is an international dance festival that takes place every year in Vienna

It was founded in 1984 and originally served the purpose of attending several workshops of modern dance. A project that started with 6 teachers and few students became one of the most successful dance-festivals worldwide with thousands of professional dancers, choreographers and teachers taking part.

This year’s program is manifold, but contemporary dance is what unites the different shows and acts. The festival takes place from the 12th of July to the 14th of August 2011.

The programs are staged in various places such as Arts-History Museum, Volkstheatre, Museumsquarter, l’institut francais and the Casino at Schwarzenbergplatz.

ImPulsTanz means 40 productions in 10 different locations, with 80 teachers in 200 workshops with 5000 bookings and around 3000 students.
