City trip with children
Vienna is big and beautiful, but also for kids? Many people think that a city trip and children do not go well together, but that is untrue for Vienna. This city offers many cool opportunities for kids of all ages to have heaps of fun.
wienXtra-holiday fun supports families in summer since 1972 to keep their kids happy during the summer. Once again they have planned lots of different events for children and their parents from 28th June to 31st August.
Fun and action can be experienced by the whole family or just by children from 3 years in a day or holiday camp. Additionally you can choose the main focus for your little ones, whether it is nature, sport or technology there are no limits. More info’s you will find here: www.kinderinfowien.at
Vienna has six outdoor water playgrounds, which are great for hot summer days and bring fun for all ages. The two biggest ones are located on the Danube island and around the water tower at the Wienerberg. Not only do all these outdoor playgrounds provide toilets and changing rooms but also offer child care so parents can chill in one of the resting zones!
The Game-Inventing-Workshop cooperates with the famous game inventor Guido Hoffmann and offers children from 10-13 years the opportunity to create their own board game. You can participate for free and the material for this experiment is provided.
Vienna even manages to get children from 6 to 13 years involved in politics letting them rule the city from 4th to 9th August at the city hall. There they can govern the city like they wish and make new laws.
