Chippendales: “Get Lucky”-Tour 2015 in Vienna
The legendary Chippendales are giving Vienna their due with their stylish and elegant choreography on October 6th 2015 in the Wiener Stadthalle. A mix of singing, dance and striptease will be part of their show. The History of Chippendales
In 1979 an Indian immigrant, Somen Banerjee, purchased an old bar in Los Angeles and renovated it to a chic club with the name “Chippendales”. For the renovation and style of the club he was inspired by the British furniture man Thomas Chippendales. That is where the name comes from. Somen Banerjee then invented a show with different types of men who where all very handsome. The show should be addressed to women. The dance ensemble with the trademark of bow ties and cuffs was born: The Chippendales.
The show was successful from the very beginning and the Chippendales were brought from the small club in L.A. to New York after a short time. Soon the name Chippendales was famous all over the USA. By now they have their own theatre in Las Vegas, where they perform the whole year in completely sold out shows.
