Children’s museum ZOOM
“Hands on, minds on, hearts on!” is the idea of Vienna’s children’s museum ZOOM. Interaction is what makes learning an individual and a creative process.
On 1,600 m2 the museum offers various exhibitions, suitable for children of different age groups.
There are four main parts:
The interactive exhibition: Children from 6-12 years of age can currently experience what it is like to be on holiday in the “The long vacation” exhibition. They can try out what it feels like to walk barefoot on stones and shells, can try to identify the humming in the trees, see what grows on a meadow and how to make a paper flower. They can also experience what children were doing 100 years ago and why holidays were invented at all.
The exhibition started on March 24th and will be open until August 28th.
You can visit the exhibition Tuesday to Friday at 8.45 am, 10.30 am, 2 pm, 3.30 pm and Saturday, Sunday and on public holidays at 10 am, 12 noon, 2 pm, 4 pm. It takes 90 minutes. Admission is free for children and for adults.
Zoom workshop: Is a creative art workshop where children aged 3-12 can paint, build, draw, glue, felt and so on and so forth with lots of artists.
Zoom Animated Film Studio: Is the place to be for learning how to create 3D animations, pop songs and films. Children aged 8 to 14 can become cinematographers:-)
