In our last blog article we have already introduced some sustainable apps which shall help you to shape your life in a more sustainable manner. As we have promised, we would like to expand on the list of green apps today:
Apps which help making our Life Sustainable (2)
The app of CodeCheck enables you to make sustainable and healthy purchase decisions. Ingredient lists often are rather incomprehensible to read and therefore contain hidden contents. With the CodeCheck app, you only need to scan the barcode of the desired product and you will be provided with comprehensive product information concerning origin and manufacturer as well as evaluations. When buying cosmetics, the app will point out parabens, silicones and microplastics. Groceries will be checked for additives, palm oil as well as sugar and fat. Also ingredients which are suspected of causing cancer or allergies will be displayed. In addition to that, the eco-friendliness of a product is evaluated and vegetarians, vegans and people with gluten or lactose intolerance will get additional warnings. The app can be adjusted to your individual needs and differents priorities like for instance environment or health can be set.
Free2Move unites all car sharing providers on one map, in one app, so that you do not have to switch between different applications anymore. In order to suit your individual needs, various types of vehicles are covered, from the BMW via the electric scooter through to bicycles. You can conveniently register for different providers, log in, compare offers and prices and finally book the desired vehicle, all in one app. Moreover, you have the possibility to connect Free2Move with your already existing car sharing accounts in order to get all bookings at a glance. If needed, an alarm will let you know when an available vehicle parks nearby. Free2Move is represented in more than 17 cities throughout Europe and in the US.
More than a third of our groceries end up in the trash, although people are starving in other parts of the world. To counteract this unnecessary waste of resources is the aim of Too Good To Go. The app connects gastronomical enterprises like restaurants, bakeries, hotels, cafés and supermarkets with customers. Thereby, you can purchase and pick up groceries which are still left at the end of the day for a reduced price. Full meals cost 3 Euros on average – a win win situation for everyone, not least for the environment. Too Good To Go is represented in eight countries and more than 6.000 gastronomical enterprises are participating already.
We hope that we could help you with our tips to initiate a few sustainable changes in your life.
