Mother’s day – Let’s celebrate the 8th of May 2016

Nobody knows exactly where the Mother’s day comes from. Its origins go back to ancient Greece. The American women’s rights movement, politics and the flowers industry are involved as well. But to be really honest we neither care about the origins nor about the fact that there is a commercial purpose. We rather consider it important that it’s a day for indulging Mom and making a nice present.

Quality time is the best present ever

We think that flowers and cakes are great gifts to present but we prefer giving quality time. Strolling around Vienna, shopping, experiencing coffeehouse culture, enjoying a glass of wine at a typical Viennese Heurigen, discovering the city with its beautiful buildings, parks and museums – maybe in a horse-drawn carriage – and finishing the day with a sundowner at the the lovely hotel garden.
